A “Family Frolics” night was held in November 1962 at Parramatta Park with the Community Service Committee gaining a net profit of 43 pounds, in conjunction with a “Bucks Night” held later this money was donated to the Cairns Show Association for installation of two water fountains.

Donation of books for the Vocational Reference Library at the School of Arts. Funded a blind person to England for vocational training. The club also donated 192 pounds to the Library.

70 pounds to the Trinity Bay High School
The “Corker Porker” raffle raised funds which was donated to the Trinity Bay State High School. A total of 70 pounds was netted from the raffle, this money was used by the school for the purchase of amenities.

Street Stall fundraising.
Vocational Service Committee operated a street plant stall to raise funds for a Vocational Reference Library. Arrangements have been made with Cairns Library and School of Arts to house and operate the library. Rotarians under the leadership of Amy Webb provided plants and sold them on the stalls. Ivan Quinn made the stall; stalls were conducted in December 1959, March and June 1960. Proceeds were 134 pounds.
